Press/Gallery: Frontier season 3 is coming to Netflix in November

FANSIDED: Frontier season 3 starring Jason Momoa, of Aquaman and Game of Thrones, will be released on Netflix in November. Mark your calendars for Nov. 23!

Frontier season 3 starring Jason Momoa premieres on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving!

Netflix announced the new season’s release date along with the full list of what’s new on Netflix in November. We still haven’t seen a trailer for Frontier season 3 yet, but we are anticipating that trailer will be released very soon.

Frontier tells the story of Declan Harp (Momoa) and other fur traders and trappers in 1700s Canada and America. If you haven’t seen this series, you have to check it out! It’s brutal!

Like the first two seasons, the third season consists of six episodes. You can watch the first two seasons of the streaming service right now.

Other than that, we don’t know much about the new season. We’ll be sure to update you when we see any new teasers or trailers in the near future. It should not be long now before Netflix starts promoting the hit show, especially since it stars one of the biggest stars in the world right now.

The first season was not released on Netflix exclusively, but the second season was a Netflix exclusive and the third season will be as well. That means you won’t be able to watch the series anywhere but Netflix, at least for the time being.

It’s going to be a big couple of months for Momoa. About one month after Frontier season 3 premieres on Netflix, Aquaman opens in theaters. Momoa already appeared as Aquaman in Justice League, but this is the standalone film, and I’m hoping it’s going to be really good!

Press: Jason Momoa thinks he’s ‘pretty f–king good’ in ‘Aquaman’

ETALK – In case you missed it, Jason Momoa is a bit of a big deal right now between his successful TV show Frontier and a little low-budget superhero film, Aquaman, in which he plays the titular character. He sat down with etalk at Fan Expo in Toronto this weekend and shared his excitement with these two huge projects.

“The big thing [about Aquaman] is that James [Wan] just made a world that we’ve never seen before,” Momoa said of the positive response to the trailer, “That in itself and the story was just great from the get-go – he really made a great script and I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty f—ing good in it.

“I mean, my wife tells me to be humble, but I think I did a good job.”

Speaking of his boo, Momoa had some great things to say about wife and actress Lisa Bonet.

“I don’t want to share too much, but she’s kind of right about everything,” he said, “She’s just super intelligent, smart and just—she’s a queen in every way and I’m kind of her big dumb animal.”

Queens are kind of a theme for Momoa. He also talked about his experience filming with Academy Award queen Nicole Kidman. In the film, Kidman plays Aquaman’s mother and queen of Atlantis, Queen Atlanna.

“Hands down one of the greatest acting experiences of my life was with Nicole,” he said, “The moment where you meet your mother for the first time – the queen – and she’s unbelievable. I mean, that’s why she’s an Academy Award winner … I think she should keep up this acting thing. Mom’s pretty good.”

Momoa also talked the new season of Frontier. He’s excited about Aquaman, but the TV show is his baby and he’s producing, stunt producing, directing, writing and starring in this next season. He described taking a cast and crew of only ten people to remote locations in Newfoundland to film scenes – something that’s virtually impossible on a production as big as Aquaman.

“I’m super proud of Aquaman … but my heart and soul is, you know, I bled for Frontier,” he said, “The places I went with ten people and what I shot – it’s extremely cool for me to take a very small show that’s based in Canada and launch that while this little small movie does really well.”

Despite everything looking up Jason, the star is staying (mostly) humble like his wife told him to.

“It’s ebb and flow and right now it’s on the up … and right now it’s very positive and I’m just delighted to be directing and sharing Frontier which I’m super pumped about.”

Press/Video: First ‘Aquaman’ Trailer Makes a Splash at Comic-Con

VARIETY – Warner Bros. is taking the DC Extended Universe underwater with the release of the upcoming “Aquaman,” starring “Game of Thrones” alum Jason Momoa.

Directed by James Wan, Momoa stars as Arthur Curry, a half-human, half-Atlantean man caught between two worlds. The son of Atlantean royalty and heir to the ocean throne, Aquaman’s allegiance is tested when his half-brother, Orm (Patrick Wilson), prepares to unite the seven kingdoms and wage war against the surface dwellers that threaten the oceans.

Amber Heard also stars as Mera, the daughter and future queen of the Xebel, an Atlantean tribe headed up by King Nereus, played by Dolph Lundgren. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will portray Black Manta, a ruthless mercenary treasure hunter and Aquaman’s greatest foe.

Aquaman has the ability to control the tides, communicate with other sea life, swim at supersonic speeds, and possess superhuman strength. It seems almost unfair to the bad guys that he gets a trident and scale armor to top it all off.

The film, which also stars Willem Dafoe and Nicole Kidman, swims into theaters on Dec. 21.
